What JPG to PDF conversion does

JPG is the format most photos and phone scans are saved in, but when you need to email, submit or archive them, a PDF is usually expected. Converting JPG to PDF turns a picture into a proper document page that opens the same way on every device and is ready to print or attach to a form.

How the conversion works

Each JPG is placed on its own PDF page, sized to match the image, at a resolution suitable for clean printing. If you add several photos, a separate PDF is produced for each, ready to download together.

All processing takes place on our server, and no files are retained. Your images and the resulting PDFs are deleted automatically once the download is complete.

How to use it

  1. Drag your JPG files into the upload area, or click to select them. Multiple files can be added at once.
  2. Click Convert. A progress bar shows the upload, followed by processing.
  3. Download the converted PDF files.

Good to know

A PDF made from a photo is an image placed inside a document, so it is ideal for sharing, printing and record-keeping. Any text visible in the picture stays part of the image and cannot be selected or edited as typed text. If you need the plain picture back later, convert the PDF page to an image, or simply keep your original JPG.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my images merged into one PDF or separate files?

Each JPG you upload becomes its own one-page PDF, and all results are delivered together in a single ZIP. If you need one multi-page PDF containing every image, merge the individual PDFs with a PDF tool after downloading.

Will converting to PDF reduce my image quality?

No visible loss is added. The JPG is embedded into the PDF at 150 DPI, so it looks the same on screen and prints cleanly. A PDF is a container around your picture, not a second round of compression.

What page size will the PDF use?

The page is sized to match each image's own dimensions and orientation, so nothing is cropped or stretched. Portrait photos produce portrait pages and landscape photos produce landscape pages.

Why turn a JPG into a PDF at all?

PDF is the standard format for documents. It opens on virtually any device without an image viewer, keeps a fixed print layout, and is the format most forms, schools, and offices ask you to submit — which is why photographed receipts, IDs, and homework are usually shared as PDF.

How many images can I convert, and is it private?

You can upload up to 30 JPG files per batch (20MB each, 200MB total), each returned as a one-page PDF in a single ZIP. Conversion runs over an encrypted connection and every uploaded and converted file is deleted automatically one hour after processing.
