Free TIFF to PDF Converter | Convert Scanned TIFF to PDF Online
Turn scanned TIFF images into compact, universally readable PDF files.
What TIFF to PDF conversion does
TIFF is a high-quality format often produced by scanners and used in printing and archiving. Because many programs and email systems do not display TIFF easily, converting to PDF makes a scanned page or document simple to view, send and store, while keeping it looking sharp.
How the conversion works
Each TIFF is placed on its own PDF page, sized to match the image, at a resolution suitable for clean printing. If you add several files, a separate PDF is produced for each, ready to download together.
All processing takes place on our server, and no files are retained. Your files and the resulting PDFs are deleted automatically once the download is complete.
How to use it
- Drag your TIFF files into the upload area, or click to select them. Multiple files can be added at once.
- Click Convert. A progress bar shows the upload, followed by processing.
- Download the converted PDF files.
Good to know
PDF is far more convenient to share than TIFF and opens on virtually any device, which is why it is the common choice for scanned documents. The result is an image inside a document, so text in the scan stays part of the picture and cannot be edited. Keep your original TIFF if you need the highest-quality master for reprinting.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a multi-page TIFF become a multi-page PDF?
Yes. If your TIFF contains several pages — as many scanners produce — every page is carried into the PDF in order, so a 10-page scanned TIFF becomes a 10-page PDF. Single-page TIFFs become single-page PDFs.
Why convert TIFF to PDF?
TIFF is a high-quality format common for scans, but it's large and many programs and phones can't open it. PDF is far more portable, opens everywhere, and is the standard for sharing and archiving scanned documents, contracts, and records.
Will the scan lose quality or detail?
The image is embedded at 150 DPI, which keeps scanned text and documents clearly legible on screen and in print. For most document scans the result is visually indistinguishable from the source.
Are several TIFFs combined into one PDF?
Each TIFF file you upload becomes its own PDF (multi-page if the TIFF has multiple pages), and the results are delivered together in a single ZIP. To merge separate files into one document, combine the PDFs with a PDF tool afterward.
How many files can I convert, and is it private?
You can upload up to 30 TIFF files per batch (20MB each, 200MB total). Conversion runs over an encrypted connection and every uploaded and converted file is deleted automatically one hour after processing.
